Why drive one car when you can take a ride in four? With the Maserati MC20 you’re spoilt for choice.
Visually, the car is quite stunning, one of the models we have comes in the colour Blu Infinito, it retains the iconic Maserati design with dihedral (butterfly wing) doors that add drama, and perforations in the shape of a stylized trident badge in the rear screen.
The interior is simple and minimalist, nothing distracts the driver from the sporty experience, as each component serves a practical purpose and the buttons all seem to fall easily to hand.
Inspired by luxury watches, the precious mechanical drive mode selector graces the Carbon Fibre central tunnel, reminding everyone onboard they are in a Maserati.
But enough about its beauty, let’s dive into the driving experience.
Upon turning on the engine, the car is in GT mode by default, it allows for fluid shifting and soft suspensions that make the car’s fierce power effortlessly accessible. Ideal for everyday driving, it delivers engaging grand touring comfort, you can expect an extremely smooth and refined ride in GT mode.
However, supercar fans might be a little disappointed if GT mode was the only driving mode the MC20 has because it can seem a little too mundane and almost dull, it lacks the kick you would want from a Maserati.
Thankfully, the MC20 has three more modes for you to try and cater to anyone’s driving style. While GT mode is the safe option when you have a loved one or friend who is afraid of speed, you can live your F1 dreams in Sports mode.
Just by switching to Sports mode, the MC20 has a complete change in character, with its savage V6 Nettuno engine with 630 BHP, you are in for a huge surprise, you go from a seemingly mundane driving experience to flying down the coast of Sicily in a matter of seconds. The Sports mode offers a stiffer suspension setting as well as fast and direct gear shifting for a superlative on-track experience.
But if that’s not enough for the average adrenaline junky, you can take it up another notch and switch to Corsa mode. This is the most extreme experience at the wheel of the MC20 where Maximum power is immediately available, gear shifting is super fast, exhaust valves are constantly opened, and traction control is reduced.
In addition to insane speeds, the MC20 can also safely be driven in the rain in Wet mode. When it's raining or the asphalt is humid and slippery, the Wet Mode will help you keep control of your MC20 especially when accelerating or cornering by limiting engine boost and activating all dynamic controls. The perfect supercar for all occasions and even weather conditions.
This marvel of a supercar is the perfect option for you if you want to try something new on your trip to Europe, with four different modes to drive in you don’t have to worry about feeling bored.
