In January 2021, an Airbus A318 business jet landed smoothly and parked at the business jet apron of the Beijing Daxing International Airport (ZBAO). The airport is now officially open for business jet.
Capital Airport Holding Business Aviation Management (CBM) as Daxing International Airport's business jet handler handled their the first business jet operations held a maiden flight ceremony on the business jet apron. At the ceremony, the General Manager of CBM, Secretary of Party Committee, Deputy General Manager of CBM and the senior management team of Daxing International Airport welcomed the passengers and crew members, together to witness this important historical moment.
The successful business jet maiden flight in Daxing International airport has marked the history of a new form of business jet operations in Beijing – "One city with two airports", the improvement of business jet operation capacity in Beijing from this date onward.
At the ceremony, the Deputy General Manager of Daxing International Airport said the Airport together with CBM will continue to improve the ground handling services for business jet; share the market resources and promote the business jet ground handling service in both Beijing airports.
Daxing International Airport has planned a total of 110,000 square meters dedicated to business jet services with the capacity of up to 85 business jet; 30,000 square meters for a total of five hangars and one maintenance hangar; and 9,000 square meters dedicated for FBO.
While the business jet apron was completed in Jun 2019, the FBO and hangar are currently under construction scheduled to complete in August 2021. Once completed it will be the newest airport in China that offers full capability for business jets service.
CBM was established in 2019, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Capital Airport Holding Company, the main responsibility is to manage the business jet operation in Beijing Daxing International Airport. With the success of the first maiden flight, CBM’s goal is to improve their services, integrate regional resources to enhance their quality of services and operation safety.
Beijing Daxing International Airport currently yet to offer full service for business jet. For the interim period, below are some of the information to note related to business jet service:
Operating hours: 06:00 - 24:00 daily (for China domestic flights only);
FBO service is not yet available, business jet guests will utilise CIP channel within the Main terminal for the time being;
Business jet maintenance service is not yet available;
All business jet flight application must be submitted at least 72hours prior for first-time application for ZBAO. 48hours thereafter;
Permit approval will only be issued 3 hours prior to departure/arrival into ZBAO;
Maximum 72hours parking available for general business jet
