When flying commercial, I think most of us know the drill. Have a flight at 12pm? Be there at 10am.
And while for the most part many would think this is an overkill, because we used to end up waiting around impatiently for the boarding call. However, 2 hours is unlikely to be enough time to ensure you check in on time, especially in the US or Europe. Expect to wait over half a day, and even consider including an extra day just for the potential delays.
This is especially unfavorable for many who value time and efficiency, the APERTUS team understands that time is money and such delays are what we work to avoid at all cost whenever you charter privately with us. To have to add on an entire day just for potential delays, is a whole 24 hours wasted which could’ve been better spent on actually enjoying that revenge holiday, or securing that business deal.
This Summer, commercial revenge travel isn’t working out the way many thought it would, it is absolute chaos at many airports in the US and Europe, from lost luggage to melting runways, it’s hard to pinpoint which problem could arise because everything is unpredictable, but here is a quick snapshot of the issues you could be facing.
Expect long delays everywhere. There are queues snaking outside the airport with hundreds and thousands of people just waiting to check in, so coming down 2 hours in advance really isn’t enough time.
Missing your connecting flight.
Flight cancellation.
Lost luggage en route.
Further delays due to bad weather. Most recently Europe is suffering from a severe heatwave, it is not an exaggeration to say it is burning because Luton Airport has had to suspend flights because part of its runway has been damaged by the heat. Resulting in more delays and cancellations.
So it is clear that if you fly commercial to the US or Europe things aren’t looking too great, and many of the issues mentioned do arise for private charter as well but we are well-positioned to mitigate these problems.
The APERTUS team is still successful in having your private charter ready by the time stipulated because staff shortages are unlikely at FBOs. You don’t have to arrive hours ahead of your flight just to check in, thus saving precious time.
For private charters, connecting flights are usually done quickly on the runway. Instead of having to go through a severely understaffed terminal, you can move from one jet to the next without worrying about the hassle and complications.
APERTUS has a worldwide network of trustworthy handlers on the ground that will ensure your travels with us proceed efficiently and smoothly, even if it's just for a connecting flight.
When your luggage travels with you on board, you don’t have to worry about losing it or having to sift through the baggage pile upon touch down. And should you require more space to ship some of your luggage back home, APERTUS will simply arrange for a courier to safely transport your items to you.
Your landing options are not as limited. When runways are forced to close due to bad weather, eg. Luton airport, all commercial routes to Luton airport are halted and your plan to travel to London by a certain date is no longer an option.
However, when you fly private, we can simply redirect your flight to any of the other airports in London and you can stay on schedule. Our team is well-equipped to anticipate complications, and quickly work around them to ensure your charter with us is as effortless as possible, chaos is not an option.
Traveling commercial in Summer to Europe or the US is unlikely to go as smoothly as it did pre-pandemic times, at least till the airports and airlines can truly get back on their feet.
Thankfully, private charters are still operating efficiently and according to your travel schedules, so should you be traveling anytime soon do remember to reach out to the APERTUS team, and we will get you to your destination in the most efficient way possible.
